Duel
Picture
Duel  an on going series about humans verses nature.

About Looking

taxidermy

About Looking draws attention to the gaze, the direct gaze of the human, the animal, the gaze  through the camera lens, the gaze through a rifle’s scope, and the power that it can hold or  bestow.  This body of work examines taxidermy and the fabricated environments where we  encounter these specimens from museum dioramas, to personal collections and retail outlets.

Logging and Real Estate

From Forested Hills to Paved Plateaus

Picture
Observing the birth of a new real estate development, from clearing the land to the completion of a new suburb.
With this series of images my aim is to create an observation point for the viewer to  contemplate how our environment, our society and our identity itself are being modified and  structured by the way we clear the land, build our  homes, choose our materials and surround  ourselves with these newly fabricated spaces.
